The Red Lotus Temple
Tantra: Literally a loom or warp. It implies a "weave" or "continuity", the realization of spiritual
truths by means of personal experience in exercises utilizing energies and associations from life.
Derived from an ancient Eastern belief system, "tantra" is now commonly used to refer to a variety
of different approaches to sexuality which also incorporate some form of spirituality. Tantra is
taught in the Western world as a mode of lovemaking that involves breath control, energy
exchange meditations, techniques of sexual healing, and transformative touch. It can be studied as
a part of a spiritual path, or solely to enhance understanding and appreciation of sexuality and
intimacy.
Taoism: A Chinese religion and philosophy that sees the universe as engaged in ceaseless
motion and activity. All is considered to be in continual flux. The universe is intrinsically dynamic.
The process is described in terms of Yin and Yang that should be balanced or harmonized through
energy awareness, yoga, meditation, etc., to promote spiritual wholeness.
Vibrational Healing: The use of a variety of modalities which promote healing by balancing the
client's energy body. Such modalities may include homeopathy, flower essences, acupuncture,
Reiki and Polarity Therapy among others.
Reiki: (pronounced Ray-Key) is a system of enlightenment and a hands-on healing art developed
in the early 1900's in Japan. The word Reiki is a combination of two Japanese kanji - Rei and Ki,
meaning Universal Life Force Energy. The term "Reiki" is used to describe both the energy and the
system of using it. The practice of this art involves the transfer of life force energy from practitioner
to client to enhance the body's natural ability to heal and balance itself.
Energy Body: That aspect of the self which is primarily concerned with action taken on the
subtle, pre-material realms of existence. The Energetic body in the human being closely parallels
the physical form, and coordinates the chakras, and psychic action.
Chakras: A Sanskrit word meaning "wheel", and refers to the centers or points
(usually considered to be seven in number) of spiritual power that reside in or compose the human
astral body. These points,
or centers of consciousness, are considered to
have correspondences with the physical body
that run along the spine from the very base to
the very crown. Each point represents a different
kind or quality of subtle energy which can be
focused and activated by various practices.
When awakened, kundalini energy flows upward
from the base of the spine through these six
centers to the seventh chakra at the crown of the head.
Kundalini: Sanskrit for “fire snake,” or “serpent power,” this energy is described as waiting in
coils at the base of the spine, to be called forth. It revives and transforms the Chakras as it rises,
enhancing both physical and psychic powers. It is absolute pure life-force energy; the power of the
Self which is permeating every visible and invisible reality, including the mind which grasps them.
Every meaning, every sound and every thing manifests out of Kundalini.
Divine Intimate: One who has claimed their own sexual power and has the ability to transfer
that understanding to another via word, touch or energy exchange.
Divine Intimacy: The art and practice of being truly PRESENT with another in intimate sharing.
Full Body Orgasm: The movement of pleasure up the energetic channel of the spine, through
your etheric heart center and into your head, enabling you to feel the intensity of your orgasm in
every cell of your body, not just in your genitals.
Multiple Orgasm: The ability to channel the energy of pleasure multiple times during any love
making session.
Sacred Spot/Sacred Space: See below: Yoni/Yoni Massage

divine female energy (Shakti) and in which female genital organs were seen as a holy symbol of
the goddess.
Yoni Massage: Specialized massage techniques focusing on female sexual response, healing,
and awakening of the woman's sexual center and sensual being. Also called "sacred spot or G-

and to allow her to open to greater levels of ecstatic pleasure.
Amrita: Sanskrit word meaning "nectar of immortality". This female ejaculate is said to give
immortal life and purify the human body in preparation for realization of enlightenment. Also called
Soma. Amrita / Soma is a pungent liquid secreted by the glandular system and is released during
yoni massage and in other high states of pleasure.
Ejaculation Mastery: The art of separating ejaculation from orgasm which allows a man to
